Does anybody know who has the 86 T-type in the picture? The last i heard the car was in Mississippi. Obviously it is pretty unique due to the Light Chestnut color, it also has the factory moonroof. The passenger rear quarter panel is bondoed due to an accident. l am wondering on the status of the car. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Yours looks a lot nicer.
How did you get the "1 of 55"? Is there a source that breaks the production numbers down further?

86t

I know the number is very low... I remember Kirban had an 86 T with leather, he claimed there were less than a hundred made. According to what I researched, there were fewer than 200 Turbo Lt Chestnut cars in 86. I have an 87 Limited with the Tan leather, I don't really like the leather. Too hot, too slippery. Good for women, not for seats in my opinion. I would prefer to have the plush Limited seats in cloth.

I've got an 86 that used to look as nice as the one in acoen's pic, but it needs paint pretty bad now. Tan cloth interior, not leather. I've only seen about 6 or 8 86 tr's total in the light chestnut color, and interestingly enough two were fbi cars. Didn't notice any leather interiors but wasn't really thinking about it, either. It is definitely a rare color.

it's a rare color ???

In Kirbans Guide to 86-87 Turbo Buicks (or what ever it is called) Kirban states that only 55 Chestnut TRs were built in '86 with tan leather. Kirban told me personally that he could verify that if I ever needed him to. I didn't know how rare it was until I brought it home.

i was wondering how you guys get youre numbers also. because last i heard was that gm didnt keep records like that at that time. my friend had an 88 monte that we thought was pretty rare, but we could never find out how rare because it was said that there was no info.

The dog and the car compliment one another nicely! Well done... most people don't get those details right anymore.
