I have a few high-tech toys in my dental lab, that now include a rapid-prototyping 3D printer. Design CAD files on puter, then turn life.

I would offer this to those interested.....
I send kit of materials for you to take impression of your mouth.
Send back with return label.
Tell me what you want.
ex. six gold teeth with "windows" cut out of them
or eight unit palladium one piece grill.
or one gold crown.

I will pour your models and digitize using German Optical scanner.
Mouth is now on puter. I block out undercuts, define a margin, etc...

Send completed file to 3D printer.
Printer has resolution of around 20 microns in all axis. (baddassss details!)
Part gets invested and turned into Gold/Silver/Palladium.

I polish and send back. I own pretty much the most high-tech lab on the east coast. I have almost eighteen years experience in the Dental Tech field. Went to college for it.

This product is very new to the public. (I think I'm the only one?)
It is intended for temporary use, not to be cemented. A doctor would charge you around $700-$1200 a tooth. This is the exact same sercive, minus the drilling of decay, and the cement. I'm thinking around $35 for the models of mouth (one time fee), then $100 for every tooth you want made, up to eight teeth.
I can replace a tooth with a grill, giving the impression that you are not missing any teeth. This will help to maintain your current tooth position.

The Gold can be as thin as .45mm! Computer perfect fit.
My grill weighs 2.7dwt. or about $100 of gold.
We would add the cost of metal to the fees.

If interested, please call me to discuss.
I'd be glad to answer general questions about this IN this thread, but for specific prices please call.

Scott

May be able to scan and reproduce dies or models for GN parts as well.
Max. size of parts is around 8"x8"x8"

Say what? I'm sorry, maybe im a little confused? Are you implying that we want to resemble 50 cent? Or is this a cosmetic fix for those who cannot afford veneers?

On my web site, you will see wax-printing for $3.95 unit.

But, you need a $30,000 scanner, then some sort of expensive software....then a complete dental lab to invest cast and polish, sandblast, on and on...join a club of some sort to transfer files thru i-net

Don't get too lost in my web site, it should look like chinese to most of ya.

Just peek at some pics I guess?

Yeah, I was thinking quite a few of ya would fancy some bling in the oral cavity. Everyone that sees mine in person asks me to make them a set.

OK, give me a toy GN model, I'll replicate it in gold.....to the atomic level!

On my web site, you may see a pic of a large blue cross.
That shape was computer generated and printed on my printer. Weighs a few pounds.
It was cast in gold (not by me) and now lives in a church in Boston. Probably worth over $250k ??

I'm just excited to be playing with such a cool new machine.
Thinking of goofy ways to make a buck with it.

Now that sounds a little more interesting. What else can you do with it?

It could print a complete turbo engine, every part....assembled! (1:4 scale)

The parts would be seperated by a layer of parafin wax as thin as 20 microns.

I dunk finished project into a hot bath of corn oil to expose the final parts.

We can print any .STL file.

That's the most common files for 3d shaped used by GM, NASA, everybody, even video gamers. .STL is only the triangulated shape and contains no data on colour, or texture.

Plenty of C.A.D. software to design shapes from scratch, or digitize an existing object. We can easily modify, shrink, expand, mirror-image an existing part, print in plastic, then invest and cast.

Or sent to one of my CNC mills for other materials....

I have an InVision High Resolution (ProJet) printer. A buddy of mine has the Viper SLA. Super neat stuff to watch run.
