Good General mechanic in Houston Area

Hi fellow members from Texas. I'm a new TR owner and am looking for a good, reputable shop that I can trust my car with for general repairs that I don't either have time for, or know-how for.

I'm up on the west side of Houston (near Tomball / Champions Forest area), but not opposed to travelling a little in order to have a job done right.

Right now, I don't have anything big going on (just an axle seal that keeps leaking), but I'm just worried that I might get into something I THINK I can do, but really can't.

A few things I'm thinking I might not be able to tackle are - U-Joints, pinion seal, suspension work, etc. I have no experience with this kind of stuff, but I'm generally OK under the hood.

Also, anybody recommend a GOOD body shop to paint my car?

is the majority of the work you need done going to be in centered around the rear axle of the vehicle? i live in the same basic area that you do (memorial northwest) so if you want to sunday you cold drive over and i could take look if you'd like. pm me
