Took My 7 year old ATV riding yesterday in Ottawa, and after driving home I was so tired that I left both quads strapped down in the bed with the gate down right in front of the house. Now I live in a pretty decent area of Chicago so I felt cool about this and also the Bikes were so dirty that nobody would want them if they saw them. Anyway, I went to sleep and the wife was sleeping on the couch in the front of the house and was woke up around 5 am by the sound of two punks cutting the tie down straps on my LTZ 400. . Heres where it gets worse, instead of the wife just getting me up so I could sneak up and administer street justce, she bangs on the window, alerting them, then runs into my bedroom to get me up! . I jump up and run to the front door in my fruit of the looms in time to clearly see one of the punks running at full speed down the block. So I run in and grab my shoes and pants, and of course I grab the "Widowmaker and Heartbreaker" (.45 Cal Sig Sauer) and go out huntin after callin 911 with the description of the guy I saw. Nobody is out, and its real quiet so Im hoping to hear a barking dog or someone jumpin a fence or even a pick up truck occupied with the lights out lookin for his punk buddy so they could split. Anything, then out of nowhere comes the jag I saw running tryin to act like he was just out for an innocent walk at 5 in the morning. I walked right up to him broke out the Sig, announced my Office and ordered him down to the ground repeatedly. Since he didnt comply I had to help him to the ground ;) where I held him until marked units finally showed up. Cuffed and stuffed and locked the f*ck up. So the bad parts were they cut my real nice tie downs, and I discovered they took about $200.00 worth of my sons riding gear and his fold up chair  but the good thing is I got one of the punks and since I announced my Office, I was technically on duty at that point so the City had to pay me from about 5 am until all the paperwork was done (10 am). I really think they were only gonna take my sons lil 110cc quad and not my LTZ400. Too bad too cuz the LTZ is fully insured and the motor is sounding a lil noisy! Oh well---Good Guys 1 Bad Guys 0.

Great catch. I'll never understand why these dirt balls find it easier to sneak around at all hours, break into others peoples stuff, and continually run from the law instead of just getting a job and buying the things they want. More proof that people suck!

Great catch.....one of our off-duty officers was in a bank earlier this week while it was being robbed. He didn't know they'd been robbed because it was a "quite note to the teller" job, but the teller immediately advised him when the robber left (she recognized the off-duty officer). Fortunately, the officer was armed and had his take home car with him....he was able to chase down the dirt ball in short order. Talk about bad luck.....who robs a bank with a police car in the parking lot. Just another great catch. I wish we could do something to keep criminals from breading!!!

Wow thats great work.

The note thing is real popular here in Chicago too, the Chase bank branches have been getting pounded with these similar style Robberies. the Branch on my beat has been hit 3 times in the last 8 months, last time there was a 6,000.00 take.

Ever go riding out at Buffalo Range near Ottawa? I'd like to try that place. Where do you ride at? I have a YZF 250 & my boy has a CRF50 but we're looking for an RM / KX 60 for him now, then my youngest boy gets the fiddy.

That's a pretty cool pict of your boy. How old?

And that is a pretty cool story, you've got brass in your drawers.

Ride spot.

That was fox valley, Ive never been Buffalo range. Fox valley was about 100 acres kind of small but it was great for family rides, its perfect for the kids. U can watch them from the trailer cuz u know they never want to stop riding. We are thinkin about goin to the badlands next weekend, and thats like 700 acres I think. My boy is 7, and that was the first time out on that Kazuma, and I was shocked how well it worked.
