MOMBASA, Kenya – U.S. Navy snipers opened fire and killed three pirates holding an American captain at gunpoint in a lifeboat, delivering the skipper unharmed and ending a five-day high-seas hostage drama on Easter Sunday.

Endings like this make me proud of our boys and girls that serve.

thats why I support our troops!

be it land, sea, or air.

Job well done!

A Marine sniper called into the local radio station and said that if HE was doing the job, he would have gotten the last guy, too. (even if he had to break into the warships' captain's quarters to get him.;) )

I'd really like to hear the REAL story here. Opsec is surely at play here. SEAL's really are the best in the world at this kind of thing. Should have been allowed to get the 1979 Iranian hostages, too. (two WERE left behind by Carter in country. They had to WALK out of Iran, on foot.
Richard Marcinko would have done it with a pocket knife, and a mouth full of "F" words. (just ask him, he'll tell you):D

Chuck Norris would have..................:D

Great story for our country. If they make a movie about these pirates it will surely be rated AAARRRRRrrrrrrrr!!!!!;)

well it's about time the gloves come off, god, that must have been a good feeling to get a go-ahead, sorry guys -prior service here who got alot of red lights.:frown: , good to see they let some of the guys do their job. A good soldier prays for peace, but hope's for war.
