Goofy MPH reading with scanmaster

So today I was using my scanmaster to monitor speed since our speedos are useless above 85, and I noticed something weird.

It reads fine until 31MPH, then it resets to 00, and begins to count up to 12MPH, then it jumps right up to 48MPH, and reads correctly from there.

I replaced the VSS a couple of years ago, and never really noticed if it did this before or not. I haven't checked it with powerlogger yet, to see if that's reading funky too.

Any ideas?
