I have one - very nice setup.

Not perfect - doesn't come with an SD card, (for what the kit costs, would it kill them to throw in an 8GB card?) You can get ~2hours in HD on an 8GB card. It would be nice to not have to pay extra for a rear LCD, tougher to focus without it. I bought it primarily to use on my ATV.

Here's some footage I shot:

I have one of the first models they are pretty cool cameras, especially for you meanchicken for all your kills ;)

I looked at the Contour, but the GoPro seemed to have more versatility and options....cheaper too...

Ya, the detachable LCD has pro's and cons...and I'll probably go big and get the 32GB SD card...

I dunno if I'll use it for recording street kills...Camera's = Evidence when getting pulled over, and I've heard stories of the po-po hunting people down based off their illegal street racing video's on youtube.

Been fiddling with it and like it (getchyer mind outa the gutter...I'm talkng about my GoPro).

My only beef with it so far is that the mount designs limit the way the camera can be positioned....hard to achieve desired angles or level without the thumb screws getting in the way. But they are very stable so once everything is tight, that bugger don't move.

So...would be better if it had an angle adjustable lense, or at least a pivot ball adapter with a lock screw (for stability) that could be used to make fine adjustments in angle, level and direction of the camera's field of view.

Once the menu options are known, it's not too hard to set-up, but it would be good to have a remote control so that if it's mounted external, or out of reach, it can easily be turned on and off, or the mode of operation could be changed.

I loaded a brief test video on Youtube under my screen name meanchicken87. It's possible to monitor the boost gauge, the speedo and what's going on out the passenger window all at once thanks to the wide angle.

That is the oddest camera angle I have ever seen.

LOL
Yup...I just stuck it to my passenger window and then angled it just to see what the field of view would be from there.....wasn't too careful about picking the best spot and angle...just messing with it.
