Hello all,
I need a ballpark estimate of how much kWh I should be using in the course of a year for a 62 sq. meter apartment.
We just got our electricity bill and found out that the company actually reads the meter just one time a year and estimates everything in between. What brought this to my attention was something strange I saw on my bill. Electricity that I was being charged during a time that I wasn't even in the apartment. Actually more electricity then times I WAS in the apartment.
The whole German system is pretty screwy so I'm trying to get a fix of how much, approximately, I should have used in a month and how much I should be paying for.
We have radiator heat, so that's not in the electric bill. Major appliances include small fridge (like you would find in a college dorm), dishwasher, stove and washing machine. Other then that, normal light, computer and TV usage.
I'm going to start looking at the meter every month because I'm very skeptical of the way they do things. Maybe I'm wrong, but I would like to be more informed.
Thanks in advance
