I am very pleased that I finally got to see a taste of what the car can do. I want to thank my Dad first and foremost for helping me put the combo together. He picks the parts, I pay and do the wrenching and the tunning. I set the boost on the street with my radial tires the night before. It was pretty cool out and datalogged a 3rd gear pass at 27psi. I put on the slicks and C16 in it and packed it up. Today my buddy and I went up. I launched it at 20 psi and hooked a 1.37 sixty foot (what a rush). It went 4.053 at the 330, 6.310 in the 8th and ran 9.94@135mph at 25.5psi. It touched 26 in top gear, I usually run 29 to 30 but you only get one shot at the brass ring. Then I got shut down for running 9's. I also have to thank Martin at NASH Engines for building me a shortblock that has lasted 8 years of beatens and still going. I am going to take off these tires and put on my street tires and take the family out for ice cream. I will post the video soon when my buddy emails me the footage.

Specail Thanks to:
-Billy Anderson for the 70GTQ,T400 and converter
-Dan at DLS for the 70% of my parts
-Cal Hartline for your time and efforts over the phone helping me with self made errors.:)

Congratulations Mike, Good Job!

Congratulations Mike, Good Job!
Thanks for convincing me the T400 was the way to go. I truely get a kick out of manually shifting the gears. I would like to try and tighten this converter up some more. On the datalog I am seeing 400rpm drop in shifts( I would like to see a 800rpm drop). I will send you my log. Let me know what you think.

Congrats Rick. With a little more boost and tweaking you will be going even faster. Gotta get a cage now!!!

Thanks Ted, It sure feels good knowing that its got more left, I still have 5 pounds of boost more to play with. Whether that improves et or mph, time will tell. The suspension is working extermely well. I always said if you show me the timeslip I will show you the cage. So over the winter I am going to have something custom put in.
The ghetto version of this video is in my sig until my buddy emails me the clearer version. I recorded this off my TV using my hand camera.

HEY! did you run that time on those wheels I sold ya? I want to claim some credit too! LOL!

Mike,

That was friggen nice!!!
You may have a tenth or two just in the converter.

Congrats, thats haulin'!

Thats really cool that you and your Dad worked together on it, not many guys have that.
