Got my scanmaster installed today...

I just got my Scanmaster 2.1 installed and after a few short WOT runs I have an O2 reading of 828 with 0.0 knock. I know this means that I am rich under WOT but what can I do to get it to the target area of 750? Would upping the boost make the O2 level go down? Would this be a safe idea since I do have no knock? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

With pump gas I wouldn't try to hit the magic .750 O2...I try to keep it a little rich for the street (.790-.800). With race gas....go for it.

If you have zero knock with .828 mV on the O2 you do have some room to turn up the boost. Just be careful because the boost will change day to day as the weather changes and you don't want to go lean and be asking us how to change head gaskets. The most important thing is to tune for as little knock as you can.

Be warned...once you turn up the boost and get a feel for the torque....you'll never want to turn it down!

I say try another few pounds and see what happens....

yes, up the boost a bit and see where you are at. 02's should be from 780-820 range.Dont go too lean because top of 3rd gear knock starts first then it starts to show KR in 1st and 2nd as you crank boost. but you can tune for just 1st and 2nd 0.0KR , it is up to you but i tune for 0.0-0.9 top of 3rd just to be safe.HTH

I agree you could probably turn up the boost a IB or 2 but I would as stated above not shoot for anything less than 780-800. I ask you are you happy with how the car runs right now? if yes I would say leave it alone. It is pretty strange for someone to throw a scan tool on and it be that good looking, but of course it is your car and I know I tend to try to push things a little farther than I should.
