Your studder at 5200 rpms sounds like valve float. It may be time for some comp cams 979's or 980's. My car shifts into OD at about 100 - 105 also, I only worry about that at the track. With 26" tires you are out of rpms by 110 anyways.

i didn't want to hear that but maybe it is time to change my stock valve springs...like i said when i went to the track this past weekend and raced in D...i got down the track about 3/4 of the way at about 90 mph then all of a sudden the car started hesitating like crazy like it didn't want to go any faster like i was hitting some kind of rev limiter at 5200 rpms...but when i shift into OD the problem goes away...this is valve float for sure then?

Unless you have a cam you should be shifting at 4800. Just let the car shift? Let the torque do it's work.

Tim we are talking about the car at top end at the track. When he passes through the traps in third gear he is going to be at 5500-5600 rpm.

He is letting the car shift itself

hmmmmmm interesting...so this extender chip is definitely not gonna solve my problem...great more money spent for nothing!:D i am getting pretty darn good at this

also found out that i have a wheel bearing going bad...i get to pull axles along with valve covers for the week...WAHOO! like my title says...my car is a major money pit!

Ok, I didn't think we were turning that kind of rpm's at the end.

My car is slow I guess...:)

i got a question about this chip...i just have the maf translator and not the plus version...what do i have to do in order to adjust the timing? is there a way i can upgrade my current translator???

No you cant mess with the timing with the standard translator. You can keep your current translator and buy a Spark Translator, or you can sell your translator and buy a Translator Plus. Either one will allow control of your spark timing.
