O.K. I bought a new turbo from a guy around here about 8 months ago. I have been waiting to get a THDP before installing it. He told me it's a TE-60, it looks like it could be one (it's much larger than stock anyways). SO, the problem is when I got my 3'' Downpipe I went to attatch it to the turbo(still off the car, I just wanted to see how bad a$$ it looked!) WELL, the problem was the exhaust housing is obviously not made for turbo regals! THE BOLT HOLES DON'T LINE UP AT ALL!!!
Some are off as much as 1 inch. SO the main question here is, will I need to get a whole new turbo? OR, Is there some vendor out there who can sell me an exhaust housing that will fit?
If I have to buy a new turbo, can you all voice some suggestions. my first impression of the "TE-60" is that it may be a little to big.
This car is my DAILY DRIVER and all I want(for now) is a mid/low 12 sec. car. I don't want to put any higher stall than 2800-3000 in. So I was thinking maybe a PT-52 or so? heard a lot about TE-44's and such but I don't want to have to push the turbo's limits. I would like to get one that will put me there without running the turbo too hard. What turbos will do this?
Car has stock heads-(may become ported sometime later)
will have 2800-3000 stall with new turbo
usual bolt-ons and scanmaster
Thanks,
Evan Ward
