My transmission shifts great at WOT. The only complaint I have is that it upshifts too fast when driving normal. If I take off from a stop and leave the pedal at say half throttle, it will upshift all the way to 3rd at about 25 MPH. That creates too much of a lugging effect for my liking and I need to shift it manually.

I would like to adjust the governor a little to help correct the problem.

Before I pull the governor cover,Question is, exactly how to adjust it. I have looked in the transmission repair manual and cannot find it.

I am in the middle of a transmission fluid change and would like to do it today.

Thank you for any assistance in advance.

Am I way off base on this one?

I already put everything back together and did nothing to it. I just continue to shift it manually.

I would like to know what, if anything, I can do to the governor to make this thing shift on its own a little better than it is, so I don't have to shift it manually.

Anyone?

my 200 page 2004r manual shows you how to do it.it covers everything on the trans.either remove the tv upshift modulator valve spring, install a longer tvplunger spring or remove weight from the primary weight.call in for additional info or a copy of the 2004r boble.718 784 4256
