Your Wheel and tire sizes?

Vendor Defender,

Your car looks great in your signature, in saying this, what are your tire and wheels sizes for your Weld Pro Stars? I would like to go with the same set up, the only thing is there is alot of debate on the back spacing. I hear 3.5 and 4.5 BS all the time and in the teck area when this questionis asked, seems to be a little confusion, atleast on my part;)

Let me know what you run, and I will order these wheels asap. Also, I just bough some 275-60-15 BFG DR, will these fit on the rims?

Thank for your help,

Ray

Ray, on my car i have the 15x10's on the back with (i think) 3.5" backspacing. if you want me to double check i can. they have 255/60/15's on it. i am sure that 275/60's will fit nicely, but the only thing that you probably will need will be air bags. because i am sure those tires will rub. my 255's did and the air bags solved that problem

in front i have 15x6 with 3.5" backspacing, for rubber on them i have 215/65/15's. the best advice i can give you is DONT GET 15x6 IN THE FRONT IF IT IS A STREET DRIVEN CAR!!! I have cracked three of these driving around. and this is driving around normaly. here are pictures of what happened...

Rim 1
Rim 2 Rim 3

one of my friends run the 15x7's in front and says he hasnt had any problems with them. then some one else said that i could be running to high of air pressure and the rim flexs rather than the tire. so if you are going to run these rims i would recommend going with the 15x7s up front.

and XxDarkSidexX it was kinda ment to be lame, it was a joke between me and my friends...

i just got a set of weld pro star xp s and with the solid billet centers i highly doubt you could crack these-almost 3" thick aluminum centers.

Wheel and Tire sizes

Thanks for the quick response:) I will order some of these bad boys today with my wifes blessing:D And I'll stay away from the 15x6 due to the fact they crack under daily useage.

As far as the 10" rim in the rear, I think I will go ahead and order the 15x8 due to the fact I would like to run a taller tire, and hopefully there won't be any rubbing, if so, I''ll resort to using spacers. Thanks Again!

49-blues - I like the XP's too, but they are just a wee bit out of my reach, thatks for the info anyway.

actully the reasion there cracked is because hes has been throwing the car around alot of sharp corners at high speeds;) ive seen the same thing happin several times with diffrent rims but mainly on stock cars at places like bristol.

Bought the wheels

Vender Defender -

Just wanted to say....The wife blessed me man! I went to Long Beach CA swap meet today and talked to one of the Weld Wheels vendors there and got the wheels....and they are already on the car  It looks absolutely awesome, and already received so many coments on the cars over all appearance. Everything turned out great! Also, the PTE front mount IC I ordered last week should be arriving tomorrow sometime too. Hoping for some low 12's High 11's soon with the wick turned up!
