I think i found a grand national but it may be a t-type what is the difference between the two?

T-types had all the options that were available on a regular Regal available. Like a T-type can have leather seats, vinyl roof, any color that was on Regals, bench seat, column shift, cornering lamps etc.

84-87 Grand Nationals came in black w/black trim.

T-types came in assorted colors with chrome trim or blackened trim and chrome bumpers.

They both used the same engine/transmission/rear end.

What is the difference in value, i found it for 6500.00 it seems to be in very good shape, does this sound like a good deal, what do you guys think?

Thanks, i am new at these cars, and am kind of diving in head first.

Better do ALOT of reading here before you buy to make sure you know what you're getting into. Be prepared to spend alot of money and time. These cars are not easy to work on.

check the lable on the trunk lid if its a GN it will have WE2 code in the sequence of codes

They are all Regal TTYPE's. Grand National is simply a body/interior option. The engine and trans are all identical. The rear end may be a posi if the original owner ordered it. Brad

Try to post a link to the car.

If its possible, post a link so we can take a look at it. Its still not the best way to buy a car like these, but its better than nothing. I would really try to find someone local to U that knows these cars well. Theres so many little things that come up on these cars.

Don't believe there were any 1985 GNs

1984 2000 or so
1986 under 5000
1987 21,000 or so

Numbers are probably skewed.....

thats car really looks GOOD.
good luck with your find

Interior mint

If that's what they call mint, mine must be FABULOUS!! Why does the driver's seat back look so dirty!!

Way too many miles on a hot air for that kind of money
