FWIW:
A little feedback on the GT61 turbo. I did not run the old chip
and tires with the new turbo, so I can't say exactly what the turbo alone would gain. But the car did feel a lot more powerful from mid-track on.

BG 2004:
TE44 @ 23#; other vendor race chip; 28x10 Hoosier slicks
1.78/7.73 @ 91.68/11.99 @ 111.98
1.77/7.58 @ 92.00/11.91 @ 112.58.

BG 2005:
GT61 @ 25#; TurboTweak 110 race chip; 28x9 -60 M/T drag radials

1.75/7.41 @ 95.54/11.57 @ 117.50 Street chip and alcohol
1.89.7.60 @ 94.74/11.77 @ 119.05 Race chip and race gas
1.81/7.46 @ 94.94/11.63 @ 119.05 "
1.56/7.14 @ 95.14/11.30 @ 119.37 tires 25# per Joe, Sr.-- Thnx!

Other:
Stock long block; stretch intercooler; RJC plenum plate; RJC boost controller; 50# injectors; AC 9" non-lu, TH 3" DP (open); C16 race gas.

Congrats.....

What converter stall are you running and how's the spool-up w/ the 61 compared to the 44?

Nice times. :) We have close to the same set up and I was wondering what I would be running in the 1/4. Your times give me a close idea. Thanks.

Nice times. I was curious about the 25# of air for the MT DRs. I got a couple passes in last Friday before it rained, but didn't get a chance to launch over 5 psi, and I had 21# in the MT DRs. What was your launch boost on the 1.56 short time and why did you use 25# air in the tires? Thanks

In reply:

getchasum - As I remember, Art Carr was selling these 9" non-lu converters as 'tight'. I don't remember the advertised stall.
I am guessing it's around 3200. The GT-61 spool-up is not quite as good as the TE-44. I was using the BSTC at that time. When I switched to the RJC controller valve, spoolup improved. Also, when I switched to 100% race gas and no alcohol, spool up improved because I was too rich with the alcohol.

tim87tr - Don't know the exact launch psi. Guessing 3-5#.
I started out with 29# in the tires and went down. Based on what I heard, 25# was what to use so I tried that. Had to do a good burnout also.

That's a good trap speed for that turbo. How much boost and are you still on stock heads/intake? I currently have VPE Stage 3 heads/intake and PT61. I'm hoping to run similar ET/Trap, but on straight pump gas at about 18-20 psi.

Hey buddy glad to see everything is working out pretty good.
We were pitted next to you again this year, man this year was a blast!

Good to see your posting here, will try to remember your screen for the future.

Im the guy that hardly got to talk with you this year, was there when you splashed a little alky on your paint.

take care

26-28psi on pumpgas/alky. Stock heads with 3 angle valve job and stock intake.
