I'm torn between these two turbo's. One will be going on a stock long block, PTE stock location intercooler, Motron 60's, MAF Pro car.

It will be a strip street car and will be using a 3200-3400 converter.

Let me know what you guys think.

What are your goals?

There is roughly 1/2 sec difference in potential between them IMHO..... but the 6152 will match up better IMHO to your converter......

The 45A probably would like a little more stall.

TE45A will probably need 3400-3600 stall. The 6152 is a good turbo for a stock motored car. If you had heads and cam, you could go TE45A.

Okay makes sense.

Right now the car has a stock longblock, stock intake and TB. I'm going to see how hard the car will run without touching the motor, then go from there.

The 6152 will be plenty. Plus it will be more enjoyable to drive on the street than the 45A.

The 6152 should go low 11's with pump gas and alky... on a stock motored car.....with a few choice bolt-ons and good traction..... (sub 1.60 60' times) IMHO

Oh... mid 20's on the boost.... 23+ deg timing

You will have to sneak up on the tuneup.... upping boost then watching o2's and knock... until you get there...

That's a good goal to shoot for. I'm going to really start dialing in the car with the MAF Pro and once I get a handle on it, I should be able to get the car to run the numbers.

I've heard alot of good things about the 6152, any other street/strip turbos I should look into?

Thanks guys,

Doug D

Wow, talk about options for one turbo. Inlet/outlet size, A/R, BB Time for more research.

Thanks,

Doug D

Give Jack Cotton a call & i'm sure he will help you pick the right Turbo for your needs. I would go with a ball bearing unit & you won't need as much stall speed in the converter.
