What stall convertor speed is a good match for the GT6776E turbocharger, taking into consideration all the other upgrades are in place to support it.

3200 would probably be your best bet! Personally I like the 3000 but getting it to spool would require a little more tuning...

3200 10" is the PERFECT match. Contact Dusty Bradford on these boards. He is the PTC rep. He will fix u up at a great price. His knowledge and experience cant be beat. Plus hes a nice guy.

My turbo is insta spool with that converter!

The GT6776E is a regular journal turbo...would it not require a higher stall speed to spool?

I think at least a 3400. My buddy had a 3200 with a 6776 std bearing and it spooled pretty slow when driving it on the street.

A 3200 is perfect for the BB turbo, but with the journal I would go with at least a 3400 as well.

We already gave you advice about this in your other thread  , at least 3400 with the journal bearings. Or contact Patrick "RUQWKNF" or a supporting Buick vendor for a 100% clear suggestion.

My bad.

Correct...journal bearing needs at least a 3400.

In my other thread I had asked if there was such a thing as a non ball bearing 6776 with a 3" in and 2" out. Sorry for the confusion. I did PM Patrick to ask for a matching convertor. Thanks for your input.

Do the journal bearing turbos, and bb turbos make the same power still?

Thats a good question..glad someone asked it.

All I know is that I have had at least 5 turbos on all of my TR's over the past 12 years and the 6776 dbb is a monster in sheeps clothing. It spools like a ta-49 but it sure dont feel like a ta-49.  :D

I guess they should make the same power. You just have to be able to spool it, hence the higher stall requirements.
