Has anyone used this turbo?? How much of an improvement are there on these gt technology style turbos.??

See sig. for best time set last Friday with that turbo.

Did you use a te-45a before hand.. I am trying to see how much of an improvement the GT6776s has over this turbo. Was planning on buying the 45.. but depending on what the GT tech. has to offer. Thanks I appreciate the response

I was using a 54. I don't know too much about it, but a lot of people say the 45 is better after 25 psi and the 67 is better at lower pressures.

So if I was going to use the car for mainly street use.. go with the 67?

Like I said, I don't have any experience comparing these two turbos, just relaying what I read. Scroll down the page a little and read the thread "te67"

The 67 does not need as much stall to get going on the street. For a street driven car, the 67 would be easier to drive.

If you had the stall, the 45a would be the ticket.

How much stall are u using with the 67GTQ? Is that something mine can be upgraded to?

I've been "considering" upgrading to a GT67 from the GT61. Right now I have a 9/11 3400 stall & want to know if that'll work fine w/ the GT67? 3400 feels like a little too much for the GT61..

I Have a GT 6776s , 0 pump Vigilante ( 3000-3200 ) this turbo spools just fine , i replaced a TE 44 which really spooled fast , It doesnt spool as fast as the 44 , but it works just fine

I run a GT67-37 on the TType with a Art Carr 3200 converter. It spools very well. I was very pleased as I thought there would be a problem. This turbo pulls much harder at 15 psi than my old TE45a did at the same boost.

But as stated above, for a high boost street strip car I would still go with the TE45a
