Has anyone done this at all, would it even be worth trying. If the vents are functional would it not help to remove heat from the engine bay.
May not look cool after all but I was thinking of trying this on a spare hood and see how it would look/function. The install dosnt seem to hard.
Im actually looking for it to be functional not a paste on trendy vent application. The hood is not as slanted as the GTA but air would still be forced downward when going forward. So in theory...right. Anyway if no one has done this I may go ahead and do it...then I can compare before and after airtemps as we have pretty consistant daily weather temps.

Dennis Kirban used to have these on his GN years ago. Maybe if you PM Dennis he can send you a photo if he still has one. I recall that it looked very nice on his car and I think he even used to sell the vents.

xtremexnyc, I'm going to have to tell you....after seeing the pictures of your '86 T, I just about passed out!! The color and black combination trim, plus the GNX wheels is the most beautiful I've ever seen in a very long time....I just about cried!!! I'm so envious, as this is EXACTLY how I would love to have my '87 Grand National like, EXACTLY!...But being a purist at heart and on an originality kick, I can't do it.....Jeez, your car is just music to my eyes....really a standout and something to be very proud of....I'm afraid if I ever see it in person, I'd have a heart attack!!

Again, just a beautiful T, great job you did on there.....I'm truly jealous!!!! Wow!!!

Thanks Bruce. Sorry to say that car is sold and gone. Love that dark cherry paint with the gnx style wheels. Wish I kept it as it is in better shape than my GN.

thats very interesting, do you have any other pictures of the hood with the vents installed xtremexnyc?
