Street car ? PT67 all the way. A PT76 on a stock cube motor is going to be a slow spooler. After that I like the PT70 GTQ

HAD A 67 ON IT. AND THERE WAS NO LAG WHAT SO EVER. A LITTLE IS OK. I THINK IT WAS JACK COTTON THAT SAID A 71 GTQ!! AND THATS GOOD FOR LOW TENS HIGH NINES? YES/NO?

I would run the 70GTQ over the 71GTQ. I ran the 71GTQ and ran 10.20. I switched over to the 70GTQ and ran in the 9's with less boost then my 10.20 pass with the 71GTQ. If you run more then 30psi the 71 will make more power. Under 30psi the 70GTQ makes more power. That turbo thats on your car has not been fully maxed out yet. Guys have run in the 9's with that turbo already at over 138mph.

I was waiting for some one else to say this. Some say Im crazy, but that PT71 is slower than a PT 70.

The PT67 GTQ has gone 9s with iron heads. I would think a P trim on Alums would have similar potential. I sure wouldnt have dropped the 67 turbo for a 71 on a street car.

What about 4 bolting it and running as big as you can stand? A 76 GTS would be a good choice if you are revving to 6500 and running 28+psi. If you want the fast spooling 3 bolt id go for the 67 with the latest design q-trim and ball bearing cartridge. Tell us more about your converter.

Louie,

Do you like the PT67 Q trim or P trim for the street? How much difference would there be between the two?? other than the price

The q trim will make more power but a 3600 + stall converter will be necessary. I ran a P trim in my TType with a AC 3200 LU and it spooled very nice. I could foot brake it to about 5PSI which was plenty to absolutely massacre the hides.
