Im having a new rear axel installed are there any identifying numbers on the axel tube? because i dont want to get ripped a new one!

forget the codes..
pop the cover an count the teeth.. a little division tells you the gear ratio.. and while you are looking in there, you can see if it's a posi and check the general condition of everything.
