Thought I better say hi to you all (since I already posted in another thread)
Was directed here by a link at Hotrodders (regarding powermelissa).

Don't have any Buicks, but I do have an appreciation for most all of the
'specialty buicks' if you will.

My first project was a 59 ElCamino---body off--took 5 yrs
Loved this thing since I was kid and spent nearly 7 yrs shopping for a suitable candidate to tackle.

When asked why the 59 Elky----my reply is---"Because everyone has a Chevelle" See a pic of this car at: chevellestuff.com Look in the 59-60 ElCamino folder.

Purchased my 66 Elky about a year before the 59 was finished-----'Cause everyone has a Chevelle:redface: .

Welcome aboard, In HS a girl had an 59 El Camino.
That thing was so different than anything in the parking lot
I always thought it was cool. What motor do you have in that thing?

59 Elky
454 HO
Tremec TKO 5-spd
Hydraulic Clutch
4-wheel discs
PW/PB/AC/Tilt
Dakota digital.

This thing was completely disassembled---I did not do the body and paint,
but I did put the whole car back together.

BIG project for a first timer

Not a perfect job by any means----but I am more than happy with it.
More importantly----I managed to hang on to the wife as well, during this project.

Most "better halves" just don't have an appreciation for these activities:wink: .
