The track I go to doesnt give you 1/8 mph but times are typically in the low 7.5X sec. range on my high 11 sec runs, with a best of 7.49 on a 11.74 run.

Hey Jorge,
Looking at all the other times, it looks like you are lossing a hell of a lot of time in the 60 ft.. Do you use slicks? If not, maybe time to start using them!!! If you do use them, maybe go up to a higher stall. Or even go to a high stall and use slicks:) :) :) !!!

The reason why I'm asking is because I went 7.89 @ 84mph (1/8th) on my best pass ever last week, but I was so caught up In the way the car was pulling that I forgot to shift from 2nd to 3rd and lifted at 74 mph when I hit the rev limiter. :o :o :o :o I ended up getting a 1.78 60' on that pass, as a result of removing my front sway bar.

I just want to see If I would have been on my way to a 11.9 - 12.0 if I would have shifted in time. I ended up going 12.78 @ 90 mph just coasting.

Stupid right. I know!

Jason, I run 10X26 M/T ET drags. They actually hook now that I've removed the front sway bar.

Time for some 15 psi launches, right Kevins. :D

P.S. I'm now accepting donations for a shift light. :D :o

11.88 at 117 mph with 95 mph 7.55 in the 8th.That was my best so far.(1.70 short)But at top end lots of popping?

I should be in the 11's when I can get my car to hook!!:D

60'........2.038
1/8........7.961
1/8........91.94MPH
ET.........12.31
1/4 MPH...112.81

Ran this yesterday at LVD in NY(over 1100' elev)

It sure looks like your going to be very close if you can get a good launch!;)

R/T 4.59
60' 1.85
330 5.00
1/8 7.61 @94
1/4 11.79 @ 117

Is it true a healthy car gains at least 21 mph from the 1/8th to end of quarter?

Jorge,
Without any question in my mind, running a 1.78 sixty ft. time and having that trap speed (111.51 mph) you would have made a 11 sec past:D :D :D!!!!!!!!!

A true healty MODDED car should gain 25 mph between 1/8th and 1/4 mile. That calculation applies till about 10.10-10.20's. Then It gets a bit higher after that point.

"Real" STOCK cars are suppose to have a 21 mph difference I believe.

7.443 @ 90.54 resulted in an 11.794 @ 113. It should have been an 11.6x pass but had a funky 2-3 shift that I think cost me a little. HTH

60'=1.73(16" BFG drag radials)
1/8 e.t-7.46(best yet)
1/8 spd--94 mph

translated to the 1/4 mile run in the sig(conv. unlocked on this pass)

So I may need about a 7.60-7.70 at about 90-92 mph If I want to start knocking on the door of the 11's.

Thanks Guys.

Put the car in drive, and let the tranny do its job. Otherwise you'll be replacing rocker shafts, along with other potential problems. Set your detent to shift at 5000. You're not making power after 5k, unless you've made cam, head, valve spring changes. (although I see you've upgraded the cam, your stock heads aren't going to make any worthwhile power above that)
Yes, you have the mph to run an 11.90ish, but you'll never do it with high 1.7 60' times, based on your current setup.

My best = 1.58 60' 7.55 1/8 @ 90mph 11.91 1/4 @ 112mph with stock turbo, 3000 stall, ET Drags, 10psi launch and 17psi full run.
