Here's a pic of the '96 Mark VIII I bought, 66k miles, and it looks just as good as the pic! (inside too)

...after 1100 miles, I sure like the thing! Has every option except the LSC trim and cell phone. Sure nice to be coddled! The 4-cam mustang (style) engines in these things are fun too! While not on par with an IC buick, I DO think it'll trounce my hotair, AND my '84 Vette! Never driven a NA car with so much top-end power, not bad for a luxo-cruiser!

The ONLY bad thing about 'em is the resale value! But that makes for a decent daily driver for relative peanuts! If anyone's looking for a cush driver in the $5k to $9k price range, I highly recommend checking into the Mark VIII's!

Those are some nice cars. There are also guys putting down a lot of power in them. Like my SC, they just don't hold value, but that's a plus when it comes to buying. MN12's are a bargain. It's no TR for speed, but they are great cars for covering comfort, driving fun and plenty of space at a very low price for the condition you can find them in.

BFH, nice car. I had a 96 LSC a few years back that was the same color as yours. I ended up trading it in because it had a leaky moonroof that was too expensive to fix. Other than that it was a great car. Good luck with it.

I'm already spoiled rotten, had to drive the F-250 last night for xmas shopping, found myself complaining that I had to turn on the headlights & mess with the heater controls--manually!

Very nice looking car. Just hope and pray the airride does not go out on it..

Lincoln had a real problem with their Town Cars, Continentals and Marks with the airbag suspensions..

Had to have the left front airbag replaced (at the dealers expense) before I could drive it, so I'm already familiar with it! BUT, thanks to the MarkVIII board, I've already found aftermarket replacement bags available for LOTS cheaper than factory, and there's a guy who rebuilds the air pumps for cheap...

Headlights--one of Fords not so "better ideas" .. the plastic reflectors in the housings burn black!
