I know a GM manual is best but for someone looking for basic easy to understand info which manual is better for Buick Turbo Regals the older Hanes or Chilton repair maintenance / manuals?
If you want easy to understand info, go to gnttype.org and read the articles. That gives you a real world everyday overview of the systems. It's older info but completely applicable.
X2 those things are terrible and will NOT be specific to the car.
Heck the GM service manuals, while ok, are still not great. You get a lot of this: " remove part", "now replace with new part". I think that this is pretty universal with service manuals. I have the same issue with the Bentley manuals for foreign cars. I think that they assume the person using it knows what they are doing and only use the manual for reference (such as torque specs).
X2 neither are Better but it it doesn't hurt to have one. I prefer the chiltons but with the understanding the info is very limited for the turbo cars. This site and the other site are extremely valuable resources as is the gm manual.
