Wow!
Thanks guys.
Didn't do any jumps today. In fact, it started off like any other work day. Once at the office, I discovered this birthday greeting, and was motivated to have a fun day. I soon found myself driving out to Turbo Lou's, to take some photos of a GN for a possible GM-EFI feature. After getting the shots, I brought this birthday thread to Lou's attention, while pointing out the fact that it was now Lunch-O clock.
Being the gentleman that Lou is, he insisted on taking me to lunch. AND, if that weren't enough, to take his recently completed, LS powered, ULTRA clean, 57 Chevy.
Being that it was my "SPECIAL DAY", Lou tossed me the keys and slipped into the passenger seat.
I've drooled over tri-5 Chevys my entire life, and finally got to see what all the fuss was about. This monster was quite refined for being 57 years old. I'm sure that it had enough power to humble a few modded Turbo Buicks. There's nothing like looking out the hood of one of these things, and hearing the tires chirp as you go from first to second. You can't help but have a "Special Day".
Now it's time to come clean. Today's not my birthday. Not even close (it was a few weeks ago). That's right. Gary must have gotten the date wrong.
Thanks everyone who posted and Big Thanks to Papa Lou for making my day "Special".
Hey Lou!
About that nice Twin Turbo Porsche in you garage. Ya know, Christmas is just around the corner.
Thanks everyone and Happy Spooling...
