Has anyone ever ran a 109 block that was hard filled half way on the street.
And yes I have been drinking. Some friends of mine were going to install a Stage 2 engine to another friends Buick tonight. Well we were missing some parts, blah, blah, blah, we wound up at the bar talking Buicks, and discussing all of the ways to increase the strength of the 109 block.
Most of the heat in an engine is near the cylinder head (combustion chamber), by only hard filling the block half way you still have coolant in that area. The bottom end of the block is the week area correct? Will it over heat on the street if this were done?
Let me know what you think, or preferably what you have observed if your car is set up this way.
