I installed mine over the weekend, But this car is just to damn fast on the street to see if its helping any, I am setting it to go on just over 20#s as my car runs pretty good on pump fuel and i am only going to use it to try and bring down intake temps when i run upwards of 30#s
I am going to bring it to the dyno on race fuel and see if i can make any more power. At the track the car didnt seem to pick up much over 26#s of boost as the intake temps started to rise to high.
At 26#s it was 146 at the end of hte1/4
at 30#s it was up in the high 160s-low 170s
But at 20#s of boost and 20* timing it ran 10.80 at 130 on pump fuel,SO you can imagine it being darn mear impossible to tune on the street.
Also Razor, all is hooked up right, I checked it 10 times, but my turn on bulb doesnt light.
As you see i said bulb for turn of, Does it have to be an LED?
I but a bulb hooked to the 2 wires in the dash were is says "security" as a turn on light, But my bulb(which is tested good) doesnt light. But i have not tried the led.
THanks Otto

EGT??

Great information! Was EGT logged on each of the runs? If so, what were the readings?

Otto,
Yes it has to be an LED. That gray wire is not designed to supply high current. If you want to use an alternative, connect the bulb wires across the pump terminal.

Now turning the kit on at 20 PSI may not give you the resolution your wanting to get out of the kit. Remember this is a progressive controller. From the point it turns on, it raises pressure. So at 20 PSI = the same as 4 PSI.. its from what ever point you turn it on. Make sense? So when you go from 4 PSI to 25 PSI you have 21 PSI worth of resolution. That 21 PSI will give the pump pressure a nice incremental upward swing smoothly. Turning it on at 20 PSI you only get a 5 PSI swing in signal. So it wont raise very much. Unless you crank up the initial, then you'll have to tune out the "HIT" the extra alcohol does to the AFR.

I would have you turn it on at 4-5 PSI and have it ramp up.. that way by the time the motor is at 20 PSI its already flowing pretty good. These motors love the alky, and let your FAST learn the fueling while its spraying. Other option if you insist on a 20 PSI turnon is to crank up the initial making it more aggressive when it turns on. A lot of this stuff takes some playing with.

The turnon LED is just for diagnostics in making sure the MAP is working, and its relation to the kit firing.

Please dont hesitate and call with questions, the only bad questions are the ones not asked. I love taking phone calls to support the product.

That gray wire internally has a built in resistor to limit current. So in case someone deviates from my original plan, the box doesnt go up in smoke. Put it like this, about the only way to kill my controller is to plug the wires into a spark plug wire. Not one controller has failed since i've been selling these kits. So yes it wont drive a bulb ;)

Thanks Julio, I will be giving you a call to talk about this a bit more in detail, after i swap in the led. I dont mind running it all the time as i have a dealer for methanol about 5 miles away for 3.50 a gallon.
I will just have to retune my fast system for it.Thanks again, what is a good time to contact you? i am east coast as well, so same time frame
THanks Otto

During the day.. pretty much anytime. Mornings are best.. I'm a lot clear'r on my thinking :)
