my other option is only 300 dollars less but thats just ta performance headers with the jet hot 2000 coating
the gn1 header turbo combo seems to be more bang for the buck because i get a turbo and external waist gate and i can always sell my dp and just get one for external gate if mine wont work
 
I noticed that on their site too, and wondered the same thing. It looks like a nice package deal to me (but I can't say I know much about it.) Maybe you'll be the trailblazer for it...
 
The turbos are 72 or 76mm 4 bolt with the old style 11 blade Q trim exhaust wheel. They are China rip offs. Not a good set up for a street car, and with China parts, how long will they last? You would be better off buying a much small turbo fitted to your goals, it will be more fun on the street and you will be happier. Cheap isn't always better.
 
but if you add the parts up ei the stainless headers wich alone are 599$ wast gate is aprox 300$ the mod to the header is probly about 200$ and up in labor and gn1 asking for the turbo is 899$ thats aprox 1998$.
if you do a similar combo with another brand turbo and headers 2700$ thats not counting gasquets and moding of dp or headers
to work with external down pipe thats a total of 1100$ dollars more well for 1100$ you can upgrade that turbo to a better 4 bolt flange turbo when the cheaper one gos im almost game to test it. what tq converter would i need to run that turbo im asuming aprox a 3300$ stall. this in my eyes for 1700$ bucks plustq converter injectors and alky im asuming would be a hell of a gain.

70 mm tb with 75 mm plenum
3600 stall tq converter
the header turbo combo
3.5 in v band flang down pipe
80 injectors
razors alky
and chip reburnt
4700.00 that should be one hell of a diference from what i currently have ass long as i can dial it all in and it holds togeter
 
It will be a pig on the street. What are your ET goals for the car? For a mid 10 sec street car, you don't have to spend 1000+ on a billet wheel turbo, an old school entry level turbo from Precision will get the job done. A 72 or 76 Q trim will spool slow on a 231 with stock compression. You will be getting beat by way slower cars from the lag.
 
id like to run low low 11 high 10s so i could probly just do
alky a 6262 turbo pte slic ta headers 2800 tq converter 60 or 80`s with reburnt chip
it seems to be thats the way im gonna go i was just wondering if any one has tried that combo out maybe those headers with waste gate mated with a different turbo could be a good set up
