Well my car is not worthy because it has no story.

BUT there are guys out there that have an interesting tale with other cars running a transplanted GN motor

I know of one NEBRA member who has a good strory.

Don't get me wrong I like the 3 stories there now except none pertain to the bulks of us.

Every car is worthy steve and you are contibuting member here with more posts than all 3 of those members added together. Besides except for Jason's car I see no stories about the other two cars, just stats. I hope it doesn't turn into a vendor showcase. I'm really interested in seeing some "everyday" cars that are exceptional performers.

I don't follow Gn-type.org but they seem to feature a member on their home page.. right now it is an S-10 I think.

That may be a great idea to set up possibly a monthly bio and pics of a member's car that has some significance in the Buick community. Great suggestions Little Steve and Dceptcn.

By the way, Bruce has told me that we are currently working on setting up a page with pics and bios for every member. As far as a time frame, please remember we are operating a business and that does come first. Thanks to all of you for your comments.

We have discussed developing an area to feature member's cars as Mark has said. There is no criteria as such. The one's now shown were used as the "experiment" and also we had the info and pictures of them. The format is still under development and hopefully will be available in the future as time to work on it allows.

As to the "second class members", I did not know we had any!

I just can't do anything right. I thought it was neat as well as hundreds of others who have contacted me personally. I cannot believe the negative I am getting from giving some people some notoriety. I am building a page so every member can have their car and a bio linked to their screen name. It is in the works but I only get an hour or so a month to work on it.
I still cannot believe people bitching about them being vendors. It just so happens that way and I didn't even give it a second thought. I never even associated them. I just knew evrybody knew and liked these guys ( or so I thought) and it would be cool.
BTW ... So tell me, what does Chris Chow vend?
Also on every board around latelly , videos of Mr chow's car has been ther. SOOOOOO obviously...People want to see and know about him.

Shaking my head I just cannot understand what it takes to please people sometimes. Why bother spending any time on new things and money on new things to be ridiculed, harrassed and attemps to take whatever new efforts are made torn apart?

How much info has a guy like Chris Chow donating to your community? If I were him, I wouldn't tell ya nothin anymore. Learn for yourself.

Again, I tried to make something nice and commendable.

I was just wondering about other members being featured also.

Maybe (this is just a suggestion) you can have
Vendor of the Month,
Fast car of the month,
Member of the month

I for one would love to know how guys like Cotten, PS extrme, hartline & all the others got started.

I would also like to know what sucess some of the average TB member have had with thier cars..


No matter how many sites there are out there for TB's this one is still the best.

Don't say you can't do anything right.

Glance over the posts again, most of the guys appreciate what you have done Bruce, I know I do. I think they are just trying to give you constructive criticism, nothing personal and remember it is just their opinion and you can't please everyone.

Really guys being a vendor or advertiser had nothing to do with my car being up on the front page. Bruce asked me to do it a long time ago before I was advertising on this sight. I just procrastinated doing it for so long.

What really got my car up there was giving Bruce a sandwich at the west coast nationals when he was looking a little woozy, I think his blood sugar was a little low. You see you have to catch him when he is not thinking straight J/k

As Nick said these were 3 just "experiments" and I am very flattered to be asked to do it. I really like the idea of having a member’s bio page that we could read more about members, their cars and interesting things about them. I have the hardest time linking member’s user names to their actual names and keeping everyone straight.

Even though there is not a personal Bio yet about Chris chow up there he is still a Buick guy and has contributed to the Buick Comunity. I probably wouldn't mind if Duttweiler's car was up there and it does not have one Buick part on it.

See NOW we are headed someplace. What do you guys think? What should we title it? Or maybe change the title as we change cars?
Once the personal bio/pic member page is up it will be even better.
But, if anybody has a better title, I am open to it.

Whelp, I was just thinking that everyone has that little button next to their post that says "profile" that already has some of the member info on it. I don't know it's possible to do this or not, but if you could to enhance the profile feature a little bit so that a user could add some pics and a bio and/or additional stories, maybe that could avoid basically duplicating what is already there? Plus, for those that added that additional data, you could simply rotate the featured member every week/month? I'd think that should cut down on any complaints about "why didn't you feature me?" if the member didn't add the extra info in the first place. Once the extra info is there, then it's only a matter of time as you rotate members through the featured section. JMHO & HTH.

I am leaving for the West Coast today, to do some tuning. When I return I will put up my bio. I wasn't going to list all of my accomplishments, but now feel that I better (to prove why I was selected). Unfortunatly, that will only list the organized racing wins, not all the races I have won on the street ($$).

I will also start posting little blurbs, on every thread I read to get my post count up and prove my worth to this board.
