Has anybody ever tried painting the AC/Heater box cover?

Looking for options of either trying to re-paint the box or try some something different that would look good along with the motor?

Anyone ever seen or tried something different?

I've never done it but the "hopper" and "donk" boys do it all the time. It's just composite plastic so paint it like you would fiberglass. Like painting a Corvette in other words.

yeah i painted mine gloss black and it looks so much better in there. I used regular single stage black after a wax/grease remover. I cant stress how much it dressed up the whole engine bay.

I used "Fusion" spray cans available at Ace Hardware , etc. It lays down nice and even and held up very well to chipping, srcatches and heat.
I painted the inner fenderwells too and the held up really well for all the abuse they take.
