Has Anyone Thought About Going On American Idol???

CAn anyone here Sing? And not croon, SING? Has anyone thought of participating in it... and Does anyone even watch that stupid show anymore

No way would I do that. i would be sure and make the show because I cannot sing at all. My wife on the other hand jokes about it. She has recorded 2 albums already and in my opinion is an awesome singer. She wont go on there because she sings for her own pleasure. She will not even sell the records she made. She just gives them to friends and family.

Nope...I watch it sometimes but I know my voice isn't what they're looking for.

In fact I don't know why some of the contestants go on there to waste the judges time...I'm not talking about the ones that can't sing but try, I'm talking about the ignoramuses that go on there dressed in a bikini or some flamboyant dress or something...like they think they're going to impress the judges if they can't sing but come on stage wearing a chicken costume and do some sort of a half ass dance...geez...if you can't sing in the top 5 % they don't want you....

My girl tried out for it when it was at Qualcomm stadium and this is how it went: She arrived at 5am tons of people there already. Didn't get to sing till 5 or 6pm. When she had her turn she was in a tent (5 tents total) lined up with four singers and each one had a 30 second time limit. After that they put there name in a box and that was it. There was no paula no simon and the black dude I foget his name. She sang for some "judges" who didnt even pay attention to any singers. And while they sang they had to try to sing over the other folks singing in other tents. She later found out they just pick the first 12 good singers and then they look for people to make asses out of them selves for the show. It's a shame because she said there was a girl who hit notes like alicia keys and she wasn't selected. I know my girl can sing, but it's more of a country voice that she has even though she is hawiian, go figure

All the reality shows suck, period.

Everytime I arrive at my GF's apartment, she has one of those suck a$$ shows on. As soon as I step into the door, she programs the DVR and changes the channel for me......I got her trained :biggrin:
