anti roll/ sway bar

hey has anyone used or heard of this type of anti roll bar? looks like it bolts to the rear end and connects to the crossmember to keep it level? tell me about them? do they work?

yes I have one on my 83 firebird and have used them on some of my previous cars very effective sway bar.You would be better off with something like the ATR sway bar.Attco,Global since you dont have to weld them on like that type you listed.

hmmm... i got a stock style one that bolts to the lower control arms... it hits my slapper traction bars... will the ATR bar clear?

That I could'nt tell you, the ATR bar is a 1 3/8 I think witch is bigger than the stock bar.

It's welded across the back of the car slightly in front of the rear attaching both frame rail's togather I will try to snap some pic's today and get them to you.My car was built by Ed Quay he did the bar when he fabracaited the car.It's a easy install though move the mufflers out of the way and you will have more room to work and weld.

Looks abbout like a Wolfe sway bar. Try searching here under that name for more results.

called wolfe sway bar... here are install pics. on their site... thanks guys! one Q.. to weld the brackets to the rear end housing do i need to pull the axels... will the heat hurt them?

Use towels soaked in ice water on both sides of where you are going to weld - the axle doesn't touch the tube around where you are going to attach the brackets - tack weld them first on each side, then come back and SLOWLY fill them in - keep the towels cool - you won't have any problems.
