any thoughts,opinions, experiences?

I was thinking the hallman one

thanks!

also, do I NEED to get an ajustable wastegate actuator or does this product subsitute that?

i'm still learning here lol

thanks again :)

those are just bleed valves ...they work the same as the one you can buy from grainger for $13 bucks

can you briefly explain what it does as compared to getting an adjustable wastegate and letting the ECM control the boost?

what the wastegate solenoid does..... it recieves a signal from the ecm which comes from the chip which tells the ecm to tell the wastegate solenoid how much air to bleed off..thus controlling how much air is sent to the waste gate thus controlling how much the wastegate rod opens...thus controlling boost...

these manual boost controllers (i have one and it works great...i have the cheap one tho..not those ones you are looking at)bypass any and all electronics all you do is unplug the vacuum tube that goes to the stock wastegate solenoid and plug it into the inlet of the mbc ...this will allow you to turn the valve of the mbc therefore controlling the amount of air bleed off manually...which will then controll the amount of air going to the wastegate....thus controlling boost............manually!

yes ...i would buy an adjustable wastegate it will make the process of getting the low boost baseline a lot easier ..... its not necessary and i know you could probably make one yourself...but i would buy it ...imo .... but all the adjustable wastegate does is trick the stock ecm into thinking you are getting a certain amount of air to the wastegate solenoid...and with the mbc you controll it
brief enough??
:p

Where Does One Find The Grainger Valve At, Web Site Etc???
Thanks,

The Hallman one has a fine reputation and it accurate. So I hear..
