Having a pump installed

I have a built Lonnie Diers tranny that needs a new pump. What pump should I get and from who? What's a fair price to R&R? Can just a local tranny guy do this? It's a LU and I'm taking the tranny out and installing it back in the car. Thanks Michael

IIRC, it's a pretty easy do-it-yourslf job. I think you just need to pull the pan and TC lockup solenoid, then unbolt the pump asm and pull it out (hopefully someone with more experience than me will post advice here). You'll need a new pump O-ring for installation and new seal if not included.
