Hey Guys ---

My hood will feel like it disengages from the inside, then I go out and it didnt pop up enough for me to get it open. I can push down on the nose and hear it re-latch luckily.

I have had it open 3 times now, but only when I popped it and someone was standing up front to grab it in time.

When I had someone pull from the inside I watched the latch, and it only moves about 1/4 inch. Is it the cable being loosly routed, stretched, or should I just lube the cable and latch with some wd40?

Thanks ---

I see this all the time at work. A little squirt of lube takes care of it every time.

Mine does the same...if I touch mine lightly it will pop up most of the time...but the lube should fix it. Use WD-40 1st to clean and then follow up with oil, something like 3-in-1.

I just hit it with some wd-40 and it works like a charm :) ... thanks guys!!!

It must have been sitting for awhile ---

I've had problems with mine for years....I've cleaned, lubed and even replaced the hood spring, all to no avail. I have to resort to the "Fonzie" hood tap to get it to open properly.
