Head Damage.....take a look

I was starting to clean my heads up for install. Found this in the #5 hole.................any suggestions ?

If, the head is not cracked then a welder and a grinder would probably do the trick. Only problem if you weld it the head could warp. After welding I would check the head for straitness.

Looks like a bit of heat got in there,Take a peice of sand paper or something and break tha sharp edge off of each cylinder
 
It almost looks like it is machined behind the casting and a piece popped out. Maybe you could just blend it in with a burr.
 
I would just blend the area where the piece broke off. and take the sharp edge off the chambers. Ive seen worse and the heads were still salvageable. Might want to check your turbine to see if that piece may have hit it:eek: .
 
I'm going to take it to a local head porter and see what he thinks....I'll post back later.
