head identification

Anyway to tell if I have stock heads or not with the valve covers still on. Is there a part number I can look for somewhere. Thanks

Look for the head casting number ending in 8445. Valve cover needs to come off.

The last 4 numbers of the casting should be 8445. Valve covers will need to come off. This will tell you if the casting is stock but not if they have been ported. If they were aftermarket you would most likely have aluminum heads.
