I have new fact. exhaust manifolds on the way and I need new gaskets; anybody have any suggestions and part #'s? I priced a steel set ($25) and a Felpro with metal embedded in the gaskets ($6.00) from Advance Auto but I want the best I can get so they wont leak. Thanks.

Felpro 1400?

What type of material is this gasket made of and can I get it from a parts store?

Its not a metal gasket but it does have inserts around the exhaust ports. I got mine from BGC, but you can go to pep boys or any checker auto and order them with the part #. tHESE REALLY WORK A LOT BETTER THEN THE METAL ONES

Since you have new, unwarpped headers, do what the factory did, and DON'T use any gaskets. They won't leak.

The only way I've ever got my headers to seal is without gaskets.

Just my $.02

What do you guys think about copper gaskets? Just thought I'd throw the option up there. Saw them in the Poston catalog. Never used them, but I agree with not using gaskets period, if possible.

No gasket just a little high temp sealant. I can't get mine to seal using gaskets, and the passenger side isn't fun to do twice.

FelPro 1400's. No leaks, no problems, no failures, and i've even reused them multible times.

Thanks and what do.........

Thanks for the great input guys. I think I may try the Felpro 1400's just to be on the safe side. I just order an ATR 2.5 dp; hopefully this w/ the new fatory headers, crossover and ATR up will make a big difference over my current leaking ones. What do you guys think?
