Isn't this what fuel injection or Carburation does if it isn't tuned.

Injecting Meth doesn't give much benefit if it isn't tuned correctly just like gas.

well I tried running the car without the alky on .. heard a "thud" ... had to get it towed home :mad: leaking oil from somewhere .. oh ya... this was in the middle of the road.. ummmm car won't even turn over :mad: whats goin on now :confused:

you assume that series2 3800 and buick 3.8 are the same motor, which is not true.

I already know how the progressive setup works, but its no more accurate or predictable as anything else.

how is it you can stand behind calling me a moron, or saying that I have a fiero that traps 83, or try to argue with me by agreeing that an air/water intercooler would be more effective.

Its a simple fact that multi port fuel injection is more accurate than lets say throttle body injection, which is similar to the alcohol injection idea.

I really dont care anymore, you obviously know nothing about this subject, and can present do facts or even discuss anything with any brainpower or thought. What do lawnmowers have to do with anything?

Now the key idea behind the water/meth injection is this. Where does all this heat go? If you say its absorbed by the water/meth then where does the heated water/meth go? Does it just disappear, or wait could it posibly go into your combustion chamber, and bring all the heat it absorbed into the combustion chamber? I doubt that actually happens the water/meth obviously teleports to another dimention bringing the heat it had absorbed with it, or possibly passes through the metal walls of the intake after it absorbed its maximum.

When did we bring up cost of anything in any argument? how can you make an argument that an intercooler costs more money than anything else? The air/water intercooler for our 3800's are very cheap, the most expensive one you could possibly buy would be less than $400. And for the daily driving part of it, I wonder why GM used an air/water designed identicly to all of our series2 IC cores? I guess your right, I mean people dont ever daily drive stock cobalt ss's anyway, they have to ice down their intercooler at every stoplight.
 
91bird305,i would like to respond to some not all of the statements that are being tossed around.pulling fuel out to make room for the alky/meth is a proven recipe.doing research will confirm this.there are lots of people in the threads above that have spent lots of time,money into finding what works and what doesn't work.when i played with the alky/water mix the knock senser would tap me on the shoulder and ask,what are you doing?especially if the outside temps would fluctuate.going to just alky suppressed the knock.this was with the do it yourself kit,however i could never get the car to et or mph just by eliminating knock.one call to razer,no knock no matter the temp,new alky chip,1.3 second et drop,13mph increase in the traps.also air moves into the motor the same way the alky does!individual alky injectors would be more accurate but why mess with success?
 
a friend of mine has a 2000 buick regal with the m90 3.8 they are not the same motors,however his liquid heat exchanger cost him 2000,and the car can knock slightly in the heat with race gas.have several fiends with 1000 to the wheels on pump gas with big intercoolers,they work but nothing is cheap and the tune must be on and you must have the tools and knowledge to adjust.any part you add must be tuned and dialed in you can make it simple or complicated.
 
Makes sense to me. Quicky One tried explaining that to him. But now he is saying an air-to-water intercooler would be better then alky and where the heat goes once it's absorbed.

Yeah, those aeronautical engineers were morons that just wanted to brag about boost numbers.

This guy needs to learn about intercooler efficiency and compare how effective they are vs the amount of heat that methanol pulls out of an intake charge when it changes state from liquid to vapor. It takes energy to make that happen. Thats where the heat "magically" goes. Energy can neither be created or destroyed but it's allowed to change states. Just like the heat of combustion, iirc 30% in an average engine is transferred to the cooling system. Most of the rest is converted to mechanical energy as it drives the piston downward.

A thermodynamics guru could break it down for him better than I can.. and if there are any out there feel free to correct me if I'm mistaken.
 
Even someone like me who likes to argue has gotten tired of arguing. For 3 days I shut him down yet he keeps coming back with more ignorant posts...
