How far do I need to go with my heads? Are larger valves needed? I would like to have low 11 potential. I currently run a TA-49, 3" THDP, precision stocl location IC and 42lb injectors. How much porting is needed? Also who does a nice job for the least cash? My current thoughts are that I want to work on spool up. Getting the car to spool as quick as possible and see how much I can get out of this turbo and combo.

Nothing to do with your heads, but: if you install RJC's Boost Controller- your boost will come up much faster(and without any creep). That's compared to the stock wastegate solenoid, and IF you have opened up your turbo's wastegate port, closer to the size of the puck.

We have an economy set of pocket ported heads available fully machined with 1.75" swirl polished stainless intake valves for $800/pr. They flow 22 cfm more on the intake @ .500" lift and 30 cfm on the exhaust. Probably the most bang for the buck. We have a set of these on the shelf.

With your existing combination and those Weber Heads you should see some easy 7.20s-7.30s in the 1/8 mile with 20-22# boost. Would make for a very strong street car package.

I sent you a PM about my heads. They can be done even cheaper if you want stock size valves. Thanks,Frank

I went this route and I couldn't be happier.

I have pictures of the heads and flow sheet on my home computer. I thought it was well worth the price and the car runs great at 2-3 psi (still breaking in engine). Also remember to look at your cam specs before jumping up & down at high flow numbers. If it's at .500 lift and your cam only goes to .450, that must be considered. My cam has .456/.440 and my heads flow 212 cfm at .450 so I'm pleased.

Our base head has the larger intake valves because the performance gains are significant it is wise $ spent. 212 cfm @ .450 with a stock intake valve and iron head? That number is not far from GN1 Alum. head intake flow. That is hard to believe considering it's better than a Champion full port and our full port with large valves.

I actually have the larger 1.775/1.50 valves and valveseals on both. I have seen a few other guys on here with VPE heads that flowed more than that at .450.
