Hi guys getting ready to do a cam change and port my heads and intake. I have 2 sets of heads, the original 87 heads and a set of low milage 85 heads. Are they both the same? I would have to do a valve job on the 87s but would feel comfertable that the 85s would be good with out a valve job.

I have not takin the car apart yet. Not sure if they are the same on a 85. I know that it has thinner head gaskets than the 87 has. I will have to see when i take it apart. I was wondering if anyone knows if there is a differance in the years?
