Heated O2 with Accel Gen 6 DFI

Is it necessary to run a heated o2 sensor with a accel Gen 6 DFI ?

No its not neccesary, but i wouldn;t tune with the stock o2, its ok for tuning for gas mileage. Get yourself a wideband like a lm-1 or lc-1, or plx or similar. YOu can connect it to the dfi it will work ok in narrowband mode.
