Greetings All !!!
I found a 200-4R over here. Very rare over here (Belgium ). I was going to swap out my TH350 for the 200-4R. The 200 was running when it was removed from a Caprice. I have a SBC400 with a mild cam and Trick Flow aluminum heads. DD2000 tells me I should peak around 400HP and 460TQ.
I read the tech article on what can go wrong and the weak points of a 200-4R but am not clear on what needs to be done for my application. I drive once a week and like a grandma (I'm going to love that OD) and will do possibly once per drive a small sprint to toast an unsuspecting econobox.
I will not go over 90 MPH.
I would rather avoid going into a full rebuild. What can I do to make this live behind my SBC? I would think a PTS extreme shift kit + a performance filter and sump would help. A new pan seems also a very $$$ proposition too.
Many thanks in advance.
