Help be find Mufflers

I can't stand this sound !!!!!
Current 3 to 2.5 y and NO MUFFLERS dueled out behind the rear tires looking stock and very nice... exhuast was put on less than year by previous owner.

The flange is cut off the Cat and the 3" pipe is welded on there...

I had it up and hooker aerochamber center in and out were my first choice but one side would hit the drive shaft I think... So I went looking at round 4" mufflers... Moroso and Magnaflow and maybe PYPEs... I want quiet.... I hate this Ricey drone I hear on most V6 sound clips.. Id rather just hear the turbo !!!

What to do ... I am going broke and I've owned it a week... I thought I could just slap a muffler on it and be good to go... afraid I am screwed... A cat back maybe.... 350 bucks and the Cat is missing the flange so I guess Id be at the muffler shop getting broke over to have it installed.... Frustrated GN owner sorry !

I ended up with magnaflow 2.5" 4" round mufflers 55.00 each form Summit.

I hope they are not too loud.

Do search for "quiet exhaust" There have been MANY, MANY posts on the subject. The ultimate in quiet is three mufflers: two under the rear seat and one cross-flow behind the rear-end. Expensive to have fabricated, but VERY quiet and will NOT hurt performance in anyway. ('cept maybe a few added pounds.) We have guys running DEEP in the tens on 2.5 inches and LOW 9's on 3" systems. Search away on this and the other board.

Moroso

Moroso They make a muffler that 4" diameter and only 12" long not a glasspak but utilize spiral flow noise canceling technology and if you have a tight space these may work. Says they drop decibals by 5-7 dB over open headers. The other header that had the old muscle car sound back in the early 70's(High School) that I had on a 57 Belair tdhtp with a 283/4speed Borg warner T-10 are the Purple Hornies, my friend also had em on his 69Firebird 400 awesome sound and cheap they are 25 bucks now and the Moroso's are 50 bones. Back then it was Hookers and Purple Hornies combo.
