Ok, so I need to add this because after I read this quote I thought of something that people need to know.
I just changed the cam in my car ( went to a roller ) because the old one went flat on the exhaust lobes on more than one cylinder. So this could be the problem if the exhaust valves were not opening enough to get all the exhaust out. Then when the intake valve would open it would go back up into the intake. Thus causing what you see in the pictures.
