hey guys.. ive asked this before and i never really got any help..

i need to know where the switch for the reverse lights is, ive looked/felt around on the steering column but i havent found it yet.

when my car got stolen and fixed a year ago, i havent had reverse lights since.. and now my cars inspection is expired and of course, i cant get it inspected until i get this fixed.

i know its gotta be the switch, cause they jacked with the steering column, they must have unplugged or ripped something loose.

i really need your help guys. thanks!

This info. is from the '86-'87 manual.

I have no idea if it applies to your car.

Gear selector switch is attached to the base of the steering column. Top side of the base however.

Dark blue feed wire from the turn backup fuse, 20 ampere.

Output of switch closed in reverse is a light green wire and stays light green to the back of the car.

2 wire cavity on the switch.

The switch is white about 2" tall and about 4" across. It on top of the steering column about a foot from the fire wall under the dash. The top part of the switch slides back and forth and sometimes gets out of adjustment. So check to see if your b/u lights come on between P and R and go out when the shifter reaches R .Or maybe b/u lights come on slightly after shifter goes past R .If so you just need to slide the top part of switch. The switch makes b/u lights go on according to shifter location.

I know on mine and I think yours also it is also the neutral safety switch.
