I know, I know, you can never have enough boost...BUT

My T-Type will jump to past 20#'s quick, I have to get off the gas so it will stop.

I have a T-66 and deltagate. I have a hallman pro series boost controller. WIth no boost controller, just on the wastegate it will go to about 9#'s. When I have the boost controller hooked up and fully closed (so it should still be 9#'s), it will got to 18-20 and I have to let off the gas.

I have the boost source from the turbo and it is T'd to the source port of the controller and the side port on the deltagate. The other port on the controller is going to the top port on the deltagate. Hallman says to leave the top port on the gate open to vent, I tried that and only got like 6#'s..

Any idea?

thanks in advance.

Chris

That is a manual boost controller right?

If it is, it wold plumb just like my old school Hallman MBC. From the compressor port to the bottom of the MBC and then the top MBC port to the lower port on the Delta gate. The lower port opens the gate valve and the top port would be used to help keep it closed under high exhuast pressure.

If it is an electronic, I would like to see a schematic and pics of how you have it plumbed.

Nothing.

The hallman just restricts boost signal going to the wastegate. Once boost overcomes the spring in the boost controller, pressure then goes to the bottom port of the external wastegate and open the valve.

The top port, if hooked up, puts pressure on the top side of the valve and helps keep it closed. usually this is needed in high boost applications when the spring pressure in the gate is not strong enough to keep the valve closed.

I am horrible at explaining things and hope this helped some =)
