I have been looking for exhaust gaskets, transmission pan gasket, and the gasket that goes in front of the torque converter(input shaft) I finally found a tranny pan gasket with filter at pep boys for 15 bucks. Nobody has the exhaust gaskets, but can order them. I have heard mixed opinions on the copper gaskets, that why Im staying with the usual header gaskets. And then the input shaft, or whatever gasket it is. Nobody seems to know which one it is, and im not sure what it is really called as well. Can someone help me out here, and tell me what to ask for, and a part number?!

no, i dont have a pic. The torque converter is still on there. The guy I got the engine off of said to replace this seal before I set the engine back in, because its easier to do it now, and they all tend to leak.

The front pump seal isn't in front of the torque converter, but does seal against it; good chance it's what he was suggesting that you change. Can't help you with a number, but it should be readily available by application.

Just got to thinking... did he mean that the rear main seal on the engine was leaky?
